1000 West Boston Post Road
Mamaroneck, NY 10543

Lauren Leader-Chivee, the author of Crossing the Thinnest Line: How Embracing Diversity -- From the Office to the Oscars -- Makes America Stronger, will be speaking at the Mamaroneck High School library on Wednesday, October 18 at 7:30 PM as part of The Center for Continuing Education's "Notable Neighbors" series. At a time of seemingly intractable divisions in our country, Leader-Chivee will be discussing how each of us can contribute to a more inclusive and empathetic nation and how we can ensure that the diversity of the United States, one of our greatest strengths, does not become a constant source of strife and discord. Leader-Chivee is the founder of All In Together, a non-partisan, non-profit campaign dedicated to engaging women in politics and civic action. She was recently named to Fortune's 50 Most Influential Women on Twitter and serves on the Council on Foreign Relations. Her work has appeared in the Huffington Post and the Harvard Business Review. She lives in Harrison. According to Diane Cashman, The Center's Executive Director, "We are thrilled to have Lauren join us as part of our Notable Neighbors series. Given current events from Charlottesville and DACA to the recent NFL protests, we look forward to Lauren discussing ways we can come together as a community and as a country."
